Retro Brawl is a free-to-play private server to the popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game called Brawl Stars. It's a mod that lets you play the maps from its first version. Moreover, it brings the 33 original brawlers that are no longer available in the newest version. However, unlike the Brawl Stars game, it has no online gameplay yet. There is a chance to play in a tournament and win rewards, but the process is quite complicated.
What is Retro Brawl?
Retro Brawl is a private server in the old Brawl Stars style. This game will take players back to the first version of its early development days. With this, you can enjoy the old maps and characters that the newer Brawl Stars game no longer offers. There are 33 Brawlers in this mod, all of which are old characters fans are familiar with. Unlike the newer Brawl Stars game, unlocking these characters is quite difficult. To unlock them, you need to be a member of any club and write "Full" on the club page. Worse still, most of the clubs are full, and you'll have to wait for a chance. Another thing is that the game mostly offers offline practice matches. To play online with other players, you will have to enter a tournament, which is another complicated process.
While Retro Brawl offers the old maps and characters, there are newer things that players can also enjoy. For one, it comes with a new selection of skins for your brawlers. Winning in the tournament also rewards you with gift cards from sigam. However, you should note that this is not an official mod for the Brawl Stars. The coins, gems, exp you accumulated in this version will not be transferred to your original game

If you are a hardcore fan of Brawl Stars, then Retro Brawl will be right up your alley. It does not offer an online game yet. However, it has the same flow as the original title. It also stays true to the design that made the multiplayer strategy game fun. Moreover, it brings the maps and characters that you can no longer play in the newer version. All in all, it is a mod worth picking up.
